More than 43 million sleep medication prescriptions were filled in 2005, up by 60% since 2000. Learn about the three specific types of insomnia, sleep accumulation, sleep debt and how to treat the condition quickly and effectively using easy Acupuncture treatment protocols based on the diagnosed elemental pattern. This course teaches the diagnosis and treatment of Anxiety
Disorder using Oriental Medicine's 5 Element Patterns. Anxiety is a very common
human experience. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the
U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older (that
is 18.1% of U.S. population).
At some point or the other, we will all experience the effects of anxiety in
various circumstances. It is a physiological state characterized by cognitive,
somatic, emotional, and behavioral components. These components combine to
create the feelings that we typically recognize as anger and know as fear,
apprehension, or worry.
Anxiety is often accompanied by physical sensations such as heart palpitations,
nausea, chest pain, shortness of breath, stomach aches, or headache. These
disorders cost the U.S. more than $42 billion a year, almost one-third of the
country's $148 billion total mental health bill, according to a study
commissioned by ADAA and published in The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry.
More than $22.84 billion of those costs are associated with the repeated use of
health care services; people with anxiety disorders seek relief for symptoms that
mimic physical illnesses. Learn about the 6 types of anxiety disorders,
including PTSD, panic disorder, phobias and how to treat the condition quickly
and effectively using easy treatment protocols based on the diagnosed 5
Elemental Pattern. Includes an ear acupuncture point protocol based on Chinese
Medicine's 5 Elemental Pattern System.
